Diocletian’s Roman Tank. Larissa. Greece.

2021

Public space is a heterotopia, in terms of creating a grid of different connections and receiving of reality. The historical memory, the architecture, the urban planning elements and also the social space – framework compose an alloy of different temper in terms of its use and management. Art asks the “city” to meet it and society asks art to appear. Recognizing that the aesthetic event is necessary to “circulate” in public, even when, people prefer or are forced to exist in their privacy.

Art works, do not provide primary knowledge of the world, but contain it. Aesthetic knowledge is identified with the truth of temporal and local locality in a broader sense of the term: it has a subjective character and reveals multiple ways of seeing the world through an emotional process, causing the aesthetic experience.

Every place is the doing of the people who inhabit it.
